Amanda Blanca

Amanda Blanca is a multi-media artist and designer. Her work addresses improvements to the quality of life for people with disabilities through product-development. She recognizes the impact of a product that is rendered useless in the hands of someone with a disability. She designs using artisanal materials – weaving, papermaking, natural fabrics, and woodworking – to enhance physical relationships.

Amanda is the recipient of a scholarship from The Isaiah Fund which assists talented, hard-working, 12th-grade art students who demonstrate financial need. The Fund 4 Design & Art Education provides the Isaiah Scholarships to help cover textbooks, tuition, fees, art supplies, transportation, and other essentials. This year’s recipients include:
